Thursday 1st February 2024
I am proud of myself this morning, starting February knowing I've taken care of myself throughout January choosing to work at improving my eating and drinking behaviours and to try and help myself with my health issues and let's hope it works lol, I already know it's working! My name is Beverley and I haven't had a drink since Wednesday 24th January :) of course I'm not going teetotal but proving to myself I don't need to drink every night has been good for me and even better for my stomach, no acid or heartburn. I did have a couple of slices of toast with cheese triangles for breakfast yesterday morning and thought it was coming but it settled, if there'd have been butter on that toast, I'm sure I would've have it as it's not just wine and tea that's causing it.
Still on water only, whether hot or cold and again that's working, it's making sure I get my daily dose of fluid for sure. I EVEN ATE AN APPLE VOLUNTARILY because I fancied one yesterday, I never do that!
I did manage to get to the gym and had 1/2 hour there, I also went for a walk later with Aryn managed 38 minutes, a few of those minutes are me squatting down or leaning up a tree but we still covered 1.6 miles - I'll take that! That walk hurt like hell but it's not making my pain any worse overall and I'm hoping in time it will make it better so I'll keep going. It's really helping that Aryn wants to go for the walk to help him too. Almost 11k steps over the day for me is amazing and my pain wasn't quite as bad last night, I could find a position to ease the pain to help me sleep.
Woke up with a bit of a headache again, sure that'll pass it's just my body clearing out all it's toxins maybe. That's a good thing isn't it.
How did January look statistically? Well my monthly average calorie intake was 1568 where as my average calories burned was 2181 calories per day. Those results make me smile for sure, it shows you can have a 3000 calorie day on your birthday and the odd meal out, I did drink for 3 out of the 4 weeks too so those results are great!
I've changed my start day on Nutracheck by order of Sarah lol, apparently is should start on the day you get weighed so since last week I'm in credit of 2879 on my nutracheck app and I've earned 15,975 according to Fitbit so that's over 6,000 calories deficit.
We need to remember these aren't exact numbers and our bodies aren't machines, so I should be looking at a weight loss of a couple of pound but my target is 1/2lb a week so any more is just a bonus.
I'm enjoying my food and the journey right now and that's what matters, we're all eating the same dinners, there's sometimes has a little more on it than mine but I'm not having to cook different meals. This was dinner yesterday,
