I love Sundays

Sunday 18th February 2024

Well I was hungry when I woke up yesterday and it didn't change!  I started my day with an egg and 2 slices of ham on a crust of bread, that was 227 calories, bargain.  However when I got home from work, he was having a bacon bap and I thought mmm, I'll have a ham sandwich on this healthy brown bread, but it still didn't hit the ham sandwich I've been imagining in my head for weeks, well I'm half way through it when he walks in with a ham sandwich because apparently he's hungry too, he went out the room half way through to talk to the neighbour and I tasted his - he had made the sandwich I'd been imagining for weeks, it had mayo on and it was on white bread, so you know what I did don't you, I went and made me one, I did at least cut the extra thick slice of tiger bread down the middle so it was two thin slices.  Oh it was lush, possibly my new favourite sandwich but the whole lot of 2 sandwiches cost me 563 calories which would've been okay had we not ate what we ate later!

We'd had quite the Friday with everything going wrong but thankfully they sorted the fridge in the motorhome and only charged him £42 so bargain as those fridge/freezers are about two grand to replace!  We then went to give the bed mattress cover a wash at the launderette whilst the wonderful neighbour solved our other problem of replacing the brake discs.  We were half way through the cycle when he rang to say the shop had given us the wrong disc pads, so I said go and I'll wait for this to finish, it'll take half hour to dry by then you can come back for me.

15 minutes later when the wash had finished, I realised it couldn't go in a dryer!  Deep sigh, so now I'm stuck waiting, but thankfully I was only there for about half hour before my brother picked me up and it all ended good.  Everythings fixed, the cover went on the line for a few hours before the rain arrived and it's dried on the bannister over night so happy days.

The only down side was I was in the worst pain, the brake discs were in the boot of my car yesterday morning covering the stuff we use at the huddle so I had to move them, not realising how heavy the were - DOH!  It hurt my pain and aggravated my pain so I struggled yesterday lots.  He didn't want me cooking and having to stand in the kitchen and I was easily swayed to have chippy cos I've fancied orange chips for a while, I should've just had the chips but NO I had the kebab as well and this was why I went well over my daily allowance - all tracked though!

So this was what I had.  Kebab and a handful of chips.

If you look on the app, both are on them and in the past I have to say the large pitta has been about right for any kebab I've weighed.  Chips not so much because the portions round here are usually big.

So I weighed the, and the kebab was rather large at 526g,

look how much meat is in that kebab, it was a crazy amount, that photo doesn't even show how much there was it's quite a deep pile of meat, I mean I didn't but if you weighed a pitta, a large pitta is 85g, say 100g of salad, that's leaving 340g of meat, even if you say it's more salad, it's still a lot of meat!

Which means my dinner was 1646 calories which is almost my daily allowance!  It was sooooooo good though and thankfully I'd been under Thursday and Friday on my allowance and I'll do my best to pull a few back this week.

I was so glad he didn't push me to go over the pub, I was just cold and in pain and wanting to snuggle up on the sofa and binge watch the second series of Kin, it didn't disappoint, amazing if you haven't seen it and I was so thrilled with the ending.  They have to make a series 3!

I've sat in the living the last few days thinking, I need some colour, I love my browns but I'm wanting something new and I've not been happy with the curtains since I bought them, they weren't quite wide enough and it's a bit cold sitting in front of them, so I decided to treat myself!  I've ordered new curtains, throws and cushions to brighten it up - NAVY BLUE!  I've just gotta declutter the room first.  Where does everyone store the crap you need to keep!  We have so much stuff!  I love boxes but I'm running out of places to put the boxes lol.

On that note, I'm gonna do a bit of jigsaw before he gets up, or I could tidy up - nah I'll do that tomorrow when my backs rested a bit more, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Mwah, luv ya

Love me x
