I want a kayak now 😂

Tuesday 9th August 2022
Have more adventures.

Well I'm was bit pleased with myself yesterday, I went swimming and although I didn't go as far as the deep end still, I did 66 lengths going 2/3rds of the way of the 25m pool, which is roughly 44 full lengths, which for me is amazing because I've not exercised at all for years, I thought I'd be in agony this morning but thankfully I'm not - there is always tomorrow though of course, sometimes it takes an extra day doesn't it.

On the afternoon we went to try out kayaking on the canal in Kinver, I only agreed because it was sit on top kayaks so I wouldn't get trapped like you might in a canoe, I'm a wuss and proud!  The other bonus was if you should fall off, you can stand up in a canal, they're not deep.  Of course we didn't and we worked well together, only hitting the banks a few times, it's not as easy as it looks :) I enjoyed it and would happily do it again, despite the blister on my thumb from rowing - soft hands apparently. (1) River Severn Canoes | Facebook

We were wet and hungry when we'd finished as you can imagine so I changed in the back of the car, didn't want to put jeans on so threw on a pair of jogging bottoms, to be told by Aryn I looked like one of Santa's helpers in my khaki green bottoms and maroon tshirt - I did look a sight.

We went to the Springhill http://www.thespringhill.co.uk/ and we were both really impressed, I wasn't overly hungry and Aryn keeps missing out on pudding because he gets full from the main meal so he opted for a starter and dessert and I had a main, there's a lunch special 3 courses for £14.95 so we had 1 of them and split it but we'd definitely go back when we're properly hungry and it's the three of us because the food was delicious and I love that they specialise in fish dishes.

My main was grilled cod in lemon butter with the most amazing new potatoes and veggies.

Aryn had halloumi fries and hot cinnamon waffle which he inhaled!

Well it's weigh day and I'm optimistic, this is my Nutracheck report of averages for the week I'm pleased with those numbers, usually my Protein is well over the 100% so that's a first.

These are my totals since I finally got on track properly two weeks ago, 100% tracking from Tuesday 26th July, the one thing that's making me smile is the exercise calories are getting more frequent, but the bonus there is I'm enjoying the activity I'm doing, I'm not doing it because you 'should' or because it will 'burn calories'.

Here's hoping the scales will smile but if they don't for whatever reason, I'm happy with how I'm feeling, I'm prioritising my health, I'm realising I don't need so much food and it's all good.

Have a great day,

Mwah, luv ya

Love me
