"How does one become a butterfly? You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar." Trina Paulus

Love makes the world go round, but it all begins with you. If you want others to treat you well, treat yourself well first. If you seek love from another, you have to fall in love with yourself first.

And one way to start loving yourself is to stop measuring your self worth on your bathroom scales!

Remember you pay me to weigh you once a week, so stop jumping on your bathroom scales each morning and allowing them to make or break your day?

The scale doesn’t measure your self-worth. It simply measures the weight of your body! Also your weight can fluctuate dramatically depending on time of day, hormones, when and what you ate, and other factors—none of which has anything to do with who you are as a person – whatever you weight, always remind yourself you are amazing!

Permanent weight loss should be done gradually, and if you’re focusing on a new healthy lifestyle and eating well and less the weight loss will happen. However you will not notice significant changes in your weight day to day, and perhaps even some weeks. Remember also if you’re exercising you may be building muscle whilst you’re losing fat, and although the numbers on the scales may not be changing much, your body shape could be, so why not measure yourself once a month as well as getting weighed weekly by me!

If you are one of my members who decides they deserve a treat when they’ve lost weight, why not change that thought to, “I’ve eaten healthy this week whatever the scales say so tonight I shall have something delicious whatever my weigh-in says!”

If you’ve ever been disappointed on the scales because you know you’ve stuck to your points all week and the results haven’t shown then remember nothing worth having comes easy and your body isn’t a machine, if you’re following the plan the results will follow, they just might take another week to show!

Be honest with yourself, if you’re reading this and saying, “I weigh myself everyday and it never affects my mood, and think about it honestly – are you sure? If it does affect your mood, get rid of your bathrooms scales and leave the job to me.

You may never achieve the weight you were when you left school or on the day you got married but that’s not the end of the world, it’s far more important to be healthy and happy than a size 10! Trust me I’ve been both ;-)

A set of scales is a device that measures your weight not your success at life!

Remember life starts now....

Are you living yet?
