I wonder if anyone's actually melted yet!

Thursday 13th August 2020
Small steps every day!

Who needs sleep when you can just melt!  Up since 1am, at least I had a few hours sleep I guess lol, I'm praying it'll be a little cooler today as I'm at Bloxwich most of the day with my awesome members!   Last night was my last Wednesday virtual workshop, Saturday is my last Saturday one before I'm back in all my workshops next week, it's been a long time but hopefully we can get to what is being called the 'new norm'.

No one really likes change but we shall get used to it, it may take some time and there may be difficulties along the way, but we shall get there.

What's changed in your world over the last 4 months? I've obviously been working from home which means I've not been mixing with others and socialising, I think last Thursday when I did get back to workshops, I'd almost forgotten how to communicate with people, I was trying to make sure I was doing all the other things I needed to do to protect my members, that I forgot I was there to talk and coach them!  I'm more relaxed about that now, I've done the first day and it went okay so onwards and upwards, here's to being a WW coach today rather than just a Covid-19 cleaning machine!

I'm going to have a shower in a minute to try and freshen up before enjoying some breakfast and a huge mug of tea the only one I'll have before lunchtime, as I'll be busy.  I'm thinking scrambled eggs nom nom, yeah defo.

Poor Alfie's flaked out on the landing, he's so uncomfortable you can tell, he's been throwing himself from one cool spot to another all night, thankfully my floor is cool in my room and the tiles downstairs keep him cooler in the daytime.  Mom's gone downstairs and fell back to sleep in her chair, hopefully she'll sleep all morning and my sister will have an easy one.

Just looking at tips for sleeping in the heat and not only do it say to draw the curtains or blinds to keep the sun out during the day but also to make sure you close the windows on the sunny side of your home, to keep hot air out, I had mine open hoping that cool air would come in but it's true there was no cool air so I will keep them closed today.  It also suggests opening all the windows before you go to bed, to get a through breeze, I don't do this because of the noise, it disturbs me and last night with that storm - wow, yeah I wasn't leaving my windows open.

The secret is not to stress, we can all function with less sleep for a few nights, we've done it before, we'll do it again  Heck new moms can go for months!

Let's enjoy the day, eat good food to give us some energy, make sure we drink plenty of water to keep our fluids up and no napping, even if you get the chance because you'll only struggle to sleep again tonight!  I'm so glad we were in bed for 9!

See some of you some time today, let's get focusing on success!  And remember you can come get weighed at Bloxwich this week and then return to whichever of my regular workshops you normally attend next week when they re-open at least you'll be more likely to stay on track over the weekend!

Mwah, luv ya

Love me xx
