Don't stress, do your best, forget the rest.
Can I get a whoop whoop ;) yep I lost 3lb, I'm absolutely chuffed with that because that's proper weight loss not dehydrated, naked on a Monday morning weight loss! I'm really taking #MyMay seriously but I'm also being realistic because I know if I'm too perfect, I won't keep it up, so I'm enjoying every single point I'm allowed, I even used some of my FitPoints last week also. I didn't regain all my weight not liking food so I will continue to enjoy it.
Really enjoyed my workshop too, just sitting there and making time for me for half hour without distraction is priceless I tell ya. This week is all about finding lower pointed meals to save some points for my wine, last week was just about tracking, getting back into it and not using more points than I'd earned. Even though I'm weighed on Wednesday my week starts on Monday on my app and in my journal as that's what I prefer, I'm on day 4 in my journal and I still have 27 weeklies left and I've earned 44 FitPoints, 301 active minutes, that's an average 100 a day thanks to my bank holiday walk with my brother.
What did I eat yesterday, well I'm taking painkiller from the doc and I have to eat with them, plus he's put me on another to protect my stomach from the painkillers and I can't eat for an hour after them so it meant I'm having to eat a little differently as I don't usually snack. I had a banana and a bit of yogurt on morning, then when I had to take my next tablet I had a handful of wafer thin chicken.
healthy, zero hero fast food, I eat it straight from the packet, better than grabbing a chunk of cheese from the fridge!
By the time I'd finished my workshop and been to the garage and Lidl's, it was gone noon so I waited for my bestie to come and then started our lunch, not seen Lynne in a long time and Alfie decided to spoil it by barking continually the entire time she was here! He actually made himself bad because he was poorly all night being sick - yay isn't life wonderful!
Anyway I made my own fish finger things, using breadcrumbs and herbs, I found some chives, garlic pepper and vegan yeast flakes in the cupboard, I also added the zest of a lemon. Put beaten egg in one bowl to dip the fish in, then dipped it in the breadcrumb mix. Cooked in the oven for 20 minutes on 180, then we ate them in seeded flatbreads from Morrisons. As tartare sauce is 2SP I made my own dressing using 0% Greek Yogurt (the big tub from Lidl's is nice and cheap) and I added diced gherkins to it, not bad, close your eyes and imagine tartare sauce and it works, especially when you're after a weight loss! I bought both basa and haddock to compare the two fish, I have to say there is a difference in texture mostly, flavour slightly, but if you're adding other flavours like I did here, you really wouldn't notice and basa is much cheaper. This would work with frozen or fresh fish too, although I think I'd let frozen defrost first.
This whole tray was only 2SP, it made 3 flatbreads and there was some left.
Making a conscious effect to focus on eating healthy too, not just low in points, adding veggies to everything.
My fast tea was this delicious bowl of scrumptious, Harj gave me a bit of her leftover curry, I love this potato, cabbage, pea one, I think it's my favourite, to bulk it out I added the rest of the fish I'd made at lunchtime and a handful of spinach, all for a mere 4SP.
Once again I had my 'If it looks too good to be true, it is to good to be true" theory confirmed once again yesterday, I bought these cheese slices because I quickly scanned them in the store and they came up at only 1SP, I was like WOW, I'll have them, I believed the app because it was the only option so WW populated. Then when I got home I checked again, I looked at the nutritional info on the app and packet and they don't match, turns out they're 3SP - OUCH, guess who ain't eating these now. I will send an email to WW to let them know, we have a special email to use, so if you notice anything that's wrong always let a coach know. If it's a crowd sourced error you can actually scroll down and report the item directly from the app.
Well it's officially day 9 for me of focusing on me, #MyMay, the second week is always harder because I start to feel better and am in danger of thinking, 'meh I feel okay, I don't need to lose weight', I've even got a little voice inside my head at the moment whispering your blood pressure was okay so you're healthy, carry on as you are. I'm not listening and I need to continue to not listen.
I haven't got any meals prepared for today or any in mind so that's what I need to go check out, think I'll take a chicken breast out the freezer, maybe stuff it with a bit of Phili light and chorizo, or perhaps play with my new rice maker I had from my workshop, I saw this on someone else's post yesterday and I fancy giving it a go now! This was what the post said: This rice cooker is a real game changer !
I often use microwave rice pouches as I can’t stand wet stodgy rice.
From now on I will be will be buying a 1kg bag of dried rice for £1.60 and at only £16.95 this rice cooker will pay for itself in less than 3 weeks time 😊💪🏻
No more rice stuck to the bottom of the pan or boiling over and making a mess of my hob !
This Chicken fried rice was delicious with no fuss or mess !
Oh did I mention I lost 3lb :)
Right let's have a very, great day. If you're struggling ask yourself what one thing can you do today that will make you feel a little better and take you closer to your goals. If you've forgotten those goals, make that one thing thinking about them and remembering. My goal is to be 2 stone lighter for my 50th birthday, my first goal is half stone, then my next one is to be 12st 7lb, then my stone, then in the 11's, I'm going to keep breaking it down, a bit at a time but my goal for this week is to make it through on track and remembering my why.
What's your Why BeYOUtiful?
