Every day's a school day 😉

Wednesday 3rd July 2019
Celebrate your body for all it can do, has done and will do.
 Mid week already, they fly don't they!  Weigh day too!  I've not eaten badly this week, I have had more points than I'm allowed though, so the scales will tell, I'll be happy with a maintain, another gain will give the kick up the backside I need to get serious again, being content and feeling good is dangerous for me, it makes me slide with my plan.

I was really chuffed yesterday, after signing up for a Life Coaching course last year, I finally got round to finishing it off this last month (amazing what happens when you decide to take back control of your life!) and yesterday I sat the exam and passed, I was really pleased.  I've always had an interest in coaching, read many a book over the years and obviously been a WW coach for almost 15 years but it was great to realise as I was doing the course that I already had the skills it was teaching, it also taught me how to set up as a life coach, the practicalities of it - not that I'm planning on going anywhere, I love WW too much and through that role, I get to access and help far more people at a much cheaper rate, they pay for a month less than a Life Coach would charge for an hour, I do sometimes wish I had longer with some of them though, thankfully there's Facebook and messenger for those times.

Anyway, now to move onto the next course, I forgot how much I enjoy learning for pleasure, I've signed up for a Psychology diploma next, the first task is to learn to spell psychology, its one of those words I'm like oh which way would does the s and c go ;) It's something I can do from home as I sit with mom watching tele with her.

My food was healthy yesterday if over my points again.  Breakfast was okay for 1SP, an English breakfast omelette,
 instead of bacon, I had 2 slices of prosciutto, bargain for 1SP & delicious.

Dinner was these chicken chops from Waitrose, they're in the 3 for £10 range and there was 5 thigh chops on there, on a positive I didn't eat the skin as you cook them skin down for some reason so the skin was soggy and easier to resist.  The 2 I had with my lunch worked out at 10SP so quite high, but tasty, I'd like that flavouring on chicken breasts, this is what I love about Waitrose, when you look at the ingredients you could almost replicate that dish;

INGREDIENTS: chicken thigh (89%), yogurt (milk), onion purée, coriander, ginger purée, salt, cumin seeds, garlic purée, fennel, lemon zest, turmeric, spearmint, gram flour, cumin, mango purée, ginger, cayenne pepper, cracked coriander, cinnamon, mango juice, potato maltodextrin, black pepper, clove.

Look how good they looked cooked!  Love my oven liners, they save on messy washing up issues.
This was dinner, roasted veggies and mushroom rice.
Then for dinner I had the leftover rice with the leftover chicken.

And this is why I'm glad I've now got a rice maker because going forward I won't have to eat rice twice (I didn't want to eat rice again last night) because I bought it ready made and it was 2 portions (not cheap either), I will be able to cook my own in the microwave easily and carry on doing other things why I leave it to cook.  There's 20% off them this week in workshops, now £12.71.

So this morning, I'm going to do a workout in my kitchen, it will only be a short one today though, I'm not up for another hour session yet.  Oh speaking of exercise, how great is this;

Those are the measurements of my lovely member Helen who starting planking at the beginning of June, she does a 1 minute plank every night before bed and that's the only thing she's done differently this last month resulting in losing 4cm on her waist and 2cm on her hips!  See you don't have to do loads, every bit helps.  You can see the difference too as she showed me photos to compare, just brilliant.  How do you plank, well heres an image I've found on the internet to show you.

 Right, I'm off to start my day, I'll be adding the plank to my workout for sure.

Let's works at eating a healthy diet, exercising in ways we actually enjoy, drinking enough water to sustain our bodily functions, sleeping enough every night and taking time to relax - why?  Because these all contribute to us taking care of and respecting our bodies, they all contribute to our feelings of well-being.

Mwah, luv ya,

Love me xx
