I love food! Oh & red wine...

Friday 20th June 2022
Look for the good.

I survived another day, ended on 1817 calories, I've got my app set to 1/2lb loss a week so I get 2032 calories a day, that's telling them I'm inactive which I guess these days I am.  Being realistic with the half pound a week means I can enjoy higher calorie meals and enjoy eating meals like this pizza which Aryn and I ate yesterday.

It worked out at about 800 calories each but boy are these pizza delicious, I had them from Ocado when I had my vouchers, they're £4.50 for a box of two and you make them yourself, which is fun. They're also part of their £15 pizza meal deal, bargain.

This was my main meal and filled me up especially as I'd had some butternut squash chips earlier which are really filling.  I'd had them with the quiche I'd had my eye on all week and it wasn't all that, 267 calories for a 1/4 of it - I can find better things to spend that amount of calories on.

I also enjoyed a pack of Doritos and wine before bedtime, perfect end to a great day in the huddles.  I'm not usually a fan of tortilla chips but these were delicious, they'd been bought at the weekend by Niamh and a packet left, ooo now they're worth 149 calories.

Oh I do love food, don't you?

The rest of my day was pretty good too, great huddles with lots of success and giggles, I found some paperwork I'd lost which made me smile and the highlight of the day was, as I was leaving the house, I shouted up the stairs to Aryn, "I'm off now, I luv you!" and he replied, "I love you too.... sometimes', lol, any kind of response, even with a touch of sarcasm from a teenager is more than welcomed.

We've started filling in our journal sheets and I'm liking the addition of the 3 good things because it's making us both think about our day and look for the positives, it's important that everyone does that because there is always something good in any day.

I've got my new washing machine coming today, I'm also going to sort out the charity stuff ready for tomorrow when we're compiling the goodie packs.  Dinner is sorted, I've taken curry out of the freezer and will serve it with rice, naan and poppadoms, thankfully I'm not a naan fan so will save calories there.

I fancy soup for lunch, might have fruit for breakfast, aware from our tracker that I'm not having enough fruit and veggies nor hitting the 25g a day of fibre that is recommended!  Aryn has one of these bars every morning which helps him hit his as they have 11.3g of fibre and only 117 calories, gluten free too.
Feeling good and ready for my day, already drunk some water and had a mug of tea, the motorhome is going for its MOT this afternoon, keep your fingers crossed for us!

Mwah, luv ya

Love me
