Love my life I do!

Saturday 18th November 2023

Been awake since just gone 4am so I've just watched last nights Big Brother final and I'm very pleased with the results.  I'd have been happy with any of the final 3 winning, but the top 5 were in the order I'd have placed them - that doesn't happen often!

Back to yesterday, I did a lot of steps yesterday and I was in pain, walking round shops looking for kids gifts really hurt, by the time I got home my leg and back were not happy at all.  I've got them and they're all wrapped up now so all is good again in my world.  I took lots of painkillers to ease the pain and I'm good again this morning.

Foodwise, breakfast was tasty scrambled eggs, toast and spinach, really good.

I put my lamb in Ninja on dehydrate and it took a good 7.5hours plus about 15 mins on max crisp but damn it was worth the wait.  Next time I'll just do it on actifry or roast to compare, but everyone enjoyed it and there's plenty left.   Being able to cook a large leg of lamb or large joint was the reason I opted for the Ninja AF500, not cheap but it's being used almost daily so worth it in the end.

These potato stacks were delicious, a bit faffy to cook but in Aryns words 'I could eat a load of them!" They were so good, thankfully the boys saved me from overconsuming because they are seriously good.  The recipe link is below, I left skins on our potatoes for the added fibre and I'm going to have a play and mess with the recipe, changing the double cream to Elmlea double light alternative would save 500 calories straight away!  Having used that Elmlea in a butter chicken I know it will cook okay.

Our usual Friday night, a few drinks over the pub and an early ish night.  I did laugh at one of the old boys we got chatting to, Ron his name was, he told me that the first time he had met his wife was on their wedding day and when they made love that night she kept calling him a MORON!  Well I just starting laughing because I got the joke straight away and it made me chuckle for ages after.  In case you're not wide awake this morning, his name was RON, she wasn't calling him a MORON, she was saying MORE RON.  That's funny, I thought so anyway.

The cats being a devil this morning, she's loving stopping me from doing my jigsaw, she's a curious little soul, so sweet.

But I need to get ready to go to work, members await, I need to get there early to put the heating on :)

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mwah, luv u lots

Love me xx
