You can't beat a bit of group support!

14th May 2013
Slow down, simplify, and be kind. Naomi Judd
We had a nice MomDay yesterday, did a bit of housework together, then went for a walk round a couple of shops, we somehow managed to dodge the hail storm – phew.  Then on afternoon we took Alfie out and had a stroll along the canal and mom fed the ducks.  I must have wore her out because she went to bed at eight, I have to say I wasn’t far behind her.
Weight Watchers were all over the papers yesterday and no I didn’t buy a copy but the online article from the Telegraph called Weight Watchers the sensible stalwart of the dieting world.  The went on to say fad diets may come and go, but Weight Watchers is like John Lewis: it seems to have endured forever and a study has found that Weight Watchers is about five times more effective than dieting alone.
The Daily Mail reported the same
I didn’t need a newspaper to tell me this but it’s nice to have it confirmed by official studies, Weight Watchers works because of the group support and my groups have lost 9,398lb so far this year, that’s over 4 ton (671 stone).  That’s all the proof I need, the plan is designed for a member to lose up to 2lb a week and that’s what happens if you stick to it.
Losing weight is not easy but it’s much easier with support from a group of like minded people and a sensible eating plan, and I’m all for making something easier!
I think that’s enough for today, if you read my blogs and want to lose weight but haven’t got round to doing anything about it, or if you’ve tried on your own and it’s not working, or maybe you’ve tried the fad diets and lost then regained.  Maybe it’s time for you to come and join a Weight Watchers meeting and get the support and knowledge you need. In the wise words of Bill Cosby, decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it!
Have a great day. Eat Gorgeous and always BeYouTiful. xx
