Love yourself like your life depends on it!
Because it does! Focus on the Healthy
& Happy BeYOUtiful
Good Sunday morning, I can’t quite tell what
kind of day we have in store for us weather wise as it’s still semi dark but I
know I feel like a morning pottering regardless. I might nip to the shops because I want me a dab
radio for my kitchen, the house is missing music in the kitchen and mom can’t
work this modern fangled ipod and such gadgets so I thought a radio with knobs
like in the old days and low and behold ‘retro’ is very trendy now so I shouldn’t
have a problem finding one. Then I can
spend the afternoon pottering round the kitchen, sorting out the chaos that is
my house. I might even through in a
walk, my fit bit is starting to think I’m a lazy cow, and I have been the last
few days I’m not going to lie, so yes my challenge to myself today is to hit
10,000 steps, that hasn’t happened on a Sunday in a while, so will mean me
going for a walk, I can do that! My
Bestie is a walking machine, to give you an example the fitbit let’s us compare
over a 7 day period, I’m down at number 24 with 40,099 steps (I’ve barely moved
the last two days) and Lynne’s at number 1 with 99,210, it was 118,000
yesterday so she’s lost a big chunk overnight because of the day difference –
oops, she’ll be taking the dog out for a marathon walk today I’m guessing! No one’s within 10,000 steps of her over the
week, she’s averaging 17k steps a day according to the fitbit, I’m on 7k, only
10,000 steps extra a day to catch her – maybe not! But I will do 10k today. If Alfie won’t walk with me, I’ll go alone;
this time of year is lovely for a brisk walk.
It’s great to move more, it’s really good for
the health but it isn’t a miracle way to let yourself eat as much as you
want! It takes an hour to burn 500 of
calories and you can eat them in a couple of minutes! It’s not what you do for 3 hours a week at
the gym that counts, it’s what you do for the other 165 hours of the week, that’s
why these fitbits are so good, because they are a constant reminder of whether
you’re being active or slipping into lazy ways.
I’m looking forward to having them in the meetings at the end of the
month for those members who want them as Christmas pressies to themselves.
After all that fancying, they weren’t even
all that to be honest, I wished I’d had that pasta recipe I posted yesterday instead,
that would have been much tastier!
Or a photo of you and a friend giggling at
something, yes life’s all about those we love and spend our time with so spend
some time today loving them. xx
