Ready for another huddle :)

Saturday 6th August 2021
Always look on the bright side of life.

The housework mood quickly passed, but I managed to do a load of washing before turning into a lazy bird. I did finally sort out a cottage break though, it's not for a good few weeks, but I've got somewhere so I'm chuffed.  I've found a part of Pembrokeshire I haven't stayed with mom so it'll be new memories I'm making rather than reliving old ones, can't wait to see the sea and walk along the coastal path.

For breakfast I enjoyed the last of the giant crumpets, won't buy them again for a while, as tasty as they are, they work out high in calories once they've got a bit of butter on them!

This was 400 calories, a couple of slices of bacon, chestnut mushrooms and the egg,
with a bit of butter on the crumpet.

It was a long time before I thought about food though, I was watching a film and I suddenly thought I could make a chicken hotpot, I think I have all the ingredients and I was right, I didn't have as many carrots as I'd normally use but it was plenty.

Really enjoyed a bowl when it was cooked;

I've portioned the rest up and two have the sliced potato on, one doesn't so I'll make a bit of mash to go with that, bloomin tasty it was and so simple, carrots, onions, I quartered a whole chicken, sliced potatoes and oxo cube stock poured over, used beef stock cubes as I didn't have chicken and glad I did.
That's the weekend covered meals wise, although I need some bread to dunk in the juice :)

Got the morning at the Old Fallings huddle, then I'll make sure Alfie gets the walks he wants, he managed two yesterday one a little longer than the other, I've chosen Little Haven for our holiday because the area isn't as rugged as some of the places we've stayed, he should be able to handle walking round there, I know we won't be doing treks but he can do an hour and maybe if the weather is okay, we can do a walk, sit for a while then walk some more.  Just been looking at dog rucksacks!  Maybe not ;)

For now though, I better go wash and get ready for work, sitting here playing on the internet is not going to get anything done is it!

Have a wonderful weekend, mwah

luv ya

love me x
