A weekend on track planned - I can do this!

Saturday 8th July 2023

I survived another day, I did go over my allowance but only by about 300, I had to guestimate the fat from his t-bone steak that I treated him too for his birthday weekend, as his birthday is midweek, he'll get double spoilt because he won't be here.  He doesn't eat the fat and I love it, but you can't find it on the app so I looked at the difference between 5% beef mince and 20% beef mince and guessed the weight and worked from that.  Fat has 9 calories per gram, so that helps too.

Other than that, I had a healthy day, there was 18g of cheese in those mini wraps, I had raspberries as a snack and a banana.

My tea was the gousto meal, which was good but I would've have again because of the amount of oil that was used to cook it in, that had to be added onto the 589 calories stated for the meal as did the extra flour.  I want to make a conscious effort to cut down on red meat as it's no good for inflammation.

Speaking of inflammation, my physio appointment was a waste of a drive, he was a lovely lad but said that I had been referred to rheumatology but fair play to him he did send an email to chase my appointment and called me back later to say someone will ring Monday about an appointment as I'd waited too long already, here's hoping.

My appointment at the Nuffield was much more positive, I have been accepted for a 6 month joint pain programme Joint Pain Wellbeing Programme | Nuffield Health, it sounds like just the thing I need, meeting twice a week for the first 12 weeks for lifestyle advice and exercise sessions led by a Recovery Specialist. This will equip me with the tools to better manage my pain hopefully, I also get full access to the gym for the entire 6 months.  I do hope their advice helps.  Sheila if you're reading this, thank you so much for telling me about it, I just got on the programme in time as it starts Monday.

I did indulge in wine last night, but only half a bottle, not sure of our plans today but I'm really pleased that I went all week without alcohol, we won't drink on a Sunday anyway as he has to drive to work early Mondays.  There's a possibility we may go out for a meal but I think I'll drive if we do, again saving calories so I can enjoy the food.  I am more than happy to cook though if I'm honest, it's all up to the birthday boy how he wants to spend his weekend.

Right I'm flying solo this morning as it's the start of the Next sale so Elle is working, looking forward to my morning, actually looking forward to my weekend, I'm still in blooming horrid pain but I feel good in myself.   I'll take painkillers and hope for the best.

I got up to cat sick this morning and even that didn't dampen my spirits, it did make me heave terribly, I'm truly tickled stomach, sorry for that image.  I'll go now :)

Mwah, luv ya

Love me
