1st November 2016
Wisdom is nothing
more than healed pain.
Yay, the first of
the month, still two months left to go of the year, I will definitely be
finishing the year lighter than I started it, that's my goal - what's yours? I don't know if it's where my head is right
now or what but it all just seems achievable for sure. The only thing that's changed is I'm working a
few less hours so I suppose that could be what's made the massive difference, I
have more time for me! I'm also making
more time for me, because let's be honest it's easy to find "stuff"
to do!
I'm making myself
go for that 30 minute walk every day, I won't lie some days I can think of
other stuff to do so I have to give myself a talking too. I'm cooking a good meal every day too, it
helps to have something delicious to eat and I'm repeating that mantra of mine
"I'm doing this for me". I am
what's officially known as 'in the zone' and I'm still a little surprised by it
all as I've been trying to get there for a good while now, hell it's taken me
till now to lose my Christmas gain from last year!
When I decided to
do my 12 week challenge, I took a photo of my belly, see it was my belly that
tipped me over the edge, I was trying to find something to wear to work and I
could see my belly bulging out of all my dresses where I hadn't been able to
when I bought them, I remember thinking enough's enough and that I would love to
lose7-14lb by Christmas.
I had
seen my reflection in a shop window the day before, had my jeans on and they're
the one thing that you can't hide your midriff in, it didn't look good. It's wasn't
just visible, it was physical, I'd noticed some inflammation in my legs, and I
knew that was sure to improve if I lost some weight. It has too!
The
jeans looking bad was one thing, the dresses not looking good proved I wasn't
hiding my gain anymore!
I'd
blogged that day about;
It
takes It takes 4 weeks for you to notice a change It takes 8 weeks for your
friends to notice It takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world to notice It
takes one day to decide that you are enough Give it 12 weeks, don't quit!
I decided
it was time to take my own advice and sort it out. One tweak at a time, I'd already started
drinking more water, so I added the 30 minute walk in, since then I've
continually tracked and tweaked things along the way. I'm doing this.
As I
started to get dressed yesterday, I noticed my belly wasn't quite as bloated,
so I took a photo as a comparison, I was really surprised that half a stone
could make that much difference! I
shared the pics with my bestie, then thought what the hell, it's only a belly,
share it on your Facebook page, you've shared pretty much your entire life on
there for the last few years, plus I did do a naked photo shoot back in the
day, at least I have pants on this time!
Here
are those pics;
I was
chuffed with the response from folk, especially knowing that it had made some
realise they can do it too, and make a difference in a short space of time, 4
weeks for you to notice a difference and I truly believe that, it isn't just
physical, it's emotional, psychological the whole caboodle! I feel completely different to how I do a
month ago and I'm loving it.
My
tweak last week was to cut alcohol on a week night and I did it quite easily
actually, last night I didn't even think about having a drink. Focusing on one thing, one day at a time.
Christmas
is just under 8 weeks, still time to make a difference, to get your head in a
better place so you can control yourself a little better over the Christmas
period and not wake up on January 1st thinking how bad you feel, not just from
the New Years Eve party either.
Anyways,
I better get ready for work, my poor helper, inboxed me in the night to say she
won't be able to come clerk because she's too busy throwing up :( so many nasty
bugs going around at the moment, I do hope she's better soon.
I know
I'm sounding like a broken reckon but come on BeYOUtiful, if I can do this -
you can, let's all be healthy and happy! xx
