Saturday vibes...

Saturday 10th June 2023
Relax, refresh, recharge.

It was all going so well, started my day with this;

I really enjoyed my egg and mushrooms on bread, notice I only had one slice too - check me out for resisting two.

I then went to Cannock to put some cash in my brothers bank, turned out I can't do that, I have to put it in my bank then transfer it, his banks easier to get too - hey ho.   By the time I'd finished walking round Cannock my leg had given up again and was saying 'I hope we've nearly finished today!  Because I was already over that way, I fancied a sneaky peak in M&S Food Hall, I blame Elle completely for this because she keeps talking about their food, I didn't need much from a normal supermarket other than salad so I ended up getting everything in M&S, having checked on Sainsburys app, there wasn't a great day of difference and my leg didn't want to do Aldi, plus I wanted to get home to do stuff around the house.  A bit of salad, some picky things for Sunday and a £12 meal deal (main & 3 sides) because I love their rotisserie chickens and their Frites which were in bigger boxes for 4 peoples so I had 3 of them as the sides, they can be frozen.

Shopping sorted, I came home to was the cushion covers on our garden furniture, oh my word, there are a lot of cushions and every one of the back cushions have 3 long pillows in them, they are also different size cushions for different chairs, so you can imagine it was a real puzzle putting them all  back together again once they were dry, plus the wash was 1hr 30m each time as it had to be a cool wash, they do smell lovely now though.

This was my lunch, I treated myself to the salmon in M&S, it had a yellow sticker on - yay, the chips were made with the leftover boiled new potatoes from the day before, I threw them in actifry.

Whilst I'm eating it, I get this message from my sister!

This is where my daily calories allowance got smashed apart.   My wonderful sister is a saboteur :) cheese and onion pie, one of her best too if I'm honest, I had a slice, then later on I had another slice, life really is too short to resist my Sisters Pie!

Aryn got back from school and we went to the cinema, where I did resist popcorn - go me!  I love a bit of cinema popcorn too, so I was proud of myself there.  Spider-man across the spider-verse!  It wouldn't have been my first choice of film, a cartoon plus sitting for two and a half hours whilst my leg was giving me jip but I have to say I really got into it, started enjoying it and towards the end I was hooked, thinking to myself how's this going to end?  How did it end, it ended with me shouting "Seriously WTH" at the screen as the words 'to be continued...' appeared on the screen at what I thought was 10 minutes before the end, oh yeah, there was no ending, it just cut off at what should've been the final scenes.  I've no problem with having another follow on film but finish the one we've just sat though for over two hours.  Initially I won't lie I was annoyed but then I was amused, I just kept walking round saying, 'to be continued...'  A bit like life if you're lucky, that's always 'to be continued...'

A glass of wine and bed by nine (ooo that rhymed) and all in my world was calm again.  A good day was had and now I'm ready for another one.

Coco woke me up my biting (nipping) my arm - what's that all about, loony cat!

I need another cuppa this morning, looking forward to seeing our Saturday gang, ending my working week on a high.

Have a fab day,

Mwah, luv ya

Love me x
