Unfit ain't I!

Monday 2nd August 2021
Stop waiting - start doing!

Yay, it isn't raining this morning, that's a good sign for the day hopefully.  I started yesterday morning with the coach to fitness day 1, I'm truly unfit and will need to 9 weeks of 3 times a week to get me back to anything near what I once was, it was 30 minutes and I managed it, I can feel I've been doing something today round the back of my waist.  My brother also sent me a link to this 7 minute one (2) 7 DAY CHALLENGE 7 MINUTE WORKOUT TO LOSE BELLY FAT - HOME WORKOUT TO LOSE INCHES Lucy Wyndham-Read - YouTube she's apparently not as annoying as some and well 7minutes, I think most of us can handle that, although having watched her, I'm not sure lol.  I've just had a look and she does a 4 minute arm one which I'll look at because it's my arms that made me realise I need to do something, when she said she's been in the business for over 20 years I thought how old are you because she looks in her early 30s at worst, apparently she's 50!

Well I did the half hour and then enjoyed our zoom huddle then when that was finished, I had a feeling I haven't had in a very long time, I wanted to go somewhere!  Alfie walked round the block and that wasn't cutting it for me, I wondered if he'd be more inclined to walk if it was somewhere more interesting, so I threw him in the car and we drove to Weston Park.  It's only half hour away, you do have to pay to go in but I love the grounds and the woods so it's worth it.  Plus I bought an annual pass, £33 with gift aid so I can go as often as I want to now and I thought it would encourage me to.  We walked round the woods for an hour and Alfie seemed tired, plus as I hadn't planned, I didn't have any water for him, although there were bowls there, he just won't drink when we're out for some daft reason.  I'll be more prepared next time, take water with me, it was strange being there without mom, Weston Park was the last place we would go together, it's great because the car park is close to the actual walk and there was somewhere for her to have coffee and cake.  I got a bit emotional when I first got there, thinking about mom and the walks we'd had there, they'll be lots of firsts won't there, yesterday was the first time I'd been for a drive / walk without her.

Today is Meat Free Monday, I'm chuffed that so many of our Be Happy Owls members have agreed to do it with us, I can't wait to see what they have, egg and chips is good enough, I'm opting for Katsu curry and rice as my main using baked tofu (she types hoping it'll work!). I'm having melon for breakfast before it walks out the kitchen, then teatime, mmm what to have, I might have some noodles, we'll see how hungry I am, or maybe veggie finger sarnie, I love these,

212 calories for 4 fingers and they're vegan too.
These are a staple in my kitchen these days they're that good.

In an ideal world I'd spend half hour this morning planning my meals and I'd do that every Monday, why don't I do it!  I will try again!  It's got to save money in the long run hasn't it, yeah I'm going to, when I finish this blog, I'm gonna have a go at that 4 minute Youtube arm thing, then I'll do the washing up and check out the cupboards and attempt some meal planning for the week ahead.  Typing 'in an ideal world' has made me think what would my ideal world look like, there's things we all wished we did but don't because it's not our default, exercising every morning would be another for me.  Meh, I've made it to 51 living the way I am, I've not done too bad, Alfie's living his ideal world I think, he's snoring on his cushion.

Oh another thing I did yesterday was aim to get 250 steps in every hour, so even when I was sat watching a film, when my fitbit told me it was ten to the hour and I had ten minutes to do 188 steps, I got up and marched on the spot, I ended up with 13556 steps on my fitbit by the time I went to bed, 95 active minutes and 13 hours where I did 250 steps, now if I could keep that up, I'd surely lose some weight! I've already made sure I've done 250 steps this hour :)

Here's to having a great day, taking care of ourselves and enjoying the life we've chosen.

Mwah, luv ya

Love me xx
