Lost my appetite found a donkey's!

Thursday 12th August 2021
Improvement begins with I.

I've just sat and filled in my journal, it would've been much easier to skip the day and pretend it didn't happen but I'm glad I didn't as I wasn't quite as bad as I thought I was, I consumed 2,500 calories in total but according to my fitbit I burned 2200, so not the end of the world.  300 calories does not need to ruin my week, it wasn't like I ate crap, I was just hungry and ate more than planned.

I enjoyed this but wasn't impressed with the calories in the total meal;

That meal cost me about 700 calories, that bread roll was almost 200!

I've just looked at my day and realised what was missing - vegetables, a bit of lettuce does not cut it, no wonder I was hungry, I need some frozen peas but that's a crap excuse I have tinned and there's other veggies in the freezer.  Today I will have vegetables on my plate and less bread, it doesn't fill me up at all - well it didn't yesterday.

Water too, I need to carry a bottle around with me to make sure I drink some, I've started having a glass when I hear Alfie having a drink from his bowl, it's reminding me ;)

We did have our best Wednesday morning so far at Wimborne road, actually we've had our best numbers at all our huddles so far this week so that's great news.  When we got home Alfie and I went for a lovely walk, then I gave him a shower with his medicated shampoo, let's just say I'm thankful for a wetroom and tiled floor throughout downstairs because he does not like being dried!  It seems to have helped his itching a little and his skin feels a bit better, I've got a spray from ebay that's been recommended so I'll use that till we go to the vets on Monday and tell them the injection made diddly squat difference this month and for the price it's not worth it, if its not gonna work.

OH don't forget if you're coming to Bloxwich today, the entrance is via the back of the car park today as we're in a different room because of a funeral in the room we usually have.

Today I will eat better, I will eat more veggies, that is my promise to myself!  I had yogurt for breakfast yesterday, it was really good.  I need to start acknowledging my triggers and work at controlling them.  I'm a very visual eater, I'm terrible for seeing someone else having it and wanting it myself, so I need a to eat list again, rather than an eat it right now moment, hell I saw a filet-o-fish wrapper walking Alfie yesterday and wanted one which is how I ended up with the lunch above.  I then saw Jane's savoury rice on Facebook and wanted that, I wanted the chicken flavour but I remembered there was a beef flavour in the cupboard from when I was going to make a recipe and didn't, I cooked it, ate it, it was crap so I smothered it in ketchup to change the taste!

Here's to a busy and better day, hope yours is great too. x

Mwah, luv ya

Love me x
