Day 1, 12 weeks....

Monday 9th August 2021
Just because you're struggling doesn't mean your failing.

Another Monday morning rolls around, has it been a week that's worked for you or not?  I won't have lost weight tomorrow because I haven't tracked or thought about how many calories I'm consuming each day, but I've got up today and decided that the tracker gets used again from today!  I might even get my happy owls journal out and do the food/mood thing, I'd like to lose a few more pounds before my holiday, I've lost that first stone, don't want it going back on do I!

It takes 4 weeks for you to see your body changing.

It takes 8 weeks for your friends & family to notice.

It takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world.

Give it 12 weeks - Don't give up!

What can I say, my 12 weeks so have had 12 other weeks in-between that aren't so great but hey, at least I'm not giving up!

I'm actually going to treat myself to a new journal because I put it together, I was too close to it, if that makes sense, I'd stared at those pages for so long designing it that it didn't feel fresh, but now months later, I'm detached from the designing side and I've just had a quick look at it and it's damn good if I do say so myself, so here's to the next 12 weeks of filling it in, bargain for £3, time to refocus on me.  Mmm where will 12 weeks take me too?  Hold on, let's work it out - November 1st!  That's a sign ain't it, I do like a Monday but a Monday that's a first of the month, well it don't get no better than that!  I'd love a to get down to the next stone bracket in that time, 12 weeks to get to 12 stone something would be brilliant, shift the covid/dementia weight gain!  Elle if you're reading this, keep on at me!

Meat free Monday, I'm thinking cauliflower cheese or pan fried gnocchi, will go check out the calories and work the day round it, I'll get a pint of water whilst I'm in there and get drinking that, another habit that's slipped.  The only habit I'm damn good at these days is sleeping, I had 10 hours last night, fell asleep on the settee, woke up at ten and went to bed, but my fitbit tells me I fell asleep around 6ish, that's ludicrously early, even for me.

Let's hope the weathers going to improve, again my step count was so low yesterday, Alfie didn't want to walk in the rain but neither did I!  Today I will do 10k one way or another, if I need to walk on the spot in the living room, so be it, or I'll pop Alfie in his pram and go walk round the estate.

Here's to sorting myself out, I'm watching so many of our owls do just that, time to jump back on board the success wagon!  Hoping you'll join us.

Have a great Monday,

Mwah, luv ya

Love me x
