Getting my healthy on...

 Sunday 14th January 2024

& the rest of the family!

I'm feeling really pleased that I've managed to stay on track so far this year 13 days in the bag especially with everything that's going on in our household.  Overeating won't make any of it easier to hand or make any of us better, but taking care of ourselves very well might help.

I've had a good, long sleep - 9hrs 10m according to Fitbit who also tells me I burned 2172 calories yesterday, plus Aryn and I did a half hour walk before I cooked dinner, I was in hell pain and had to stop a couple of times but I did it and hopefully it will get easier the more I do it!

Now to build on that, it's good for both of us and maybe when himself is well, he'll join us at weekends, we can build up to walking on the chase for an hour would be my goal for starters.

Foodwise I had the last 1/3rd of the pilchards on the last slice of bread in the house before I shopped which was white tiger bread.

Then for dinner I made me this plate of deliciousness for just under 500 calories.

The gammon steak was Oakhurst from Aldi in a pack of four, 127 calories, tasty not too salty, pineapple was a fresh one I'd bought for 99p last weekend from Sainsburys, it was just perfectly ripe.  Idahoan mash because the boys had curly fries with theirs, I'll use the other half of the packet on todays dinner.

I finished my day on 1430 - I even tracked the bit of cheese I pinched whilst making him a sarnie!

I think we both fell asleep watching tele, I had been up since half four and we were in bed last night at 8 - oops, rock and roll but he needs to get himself well, sleeping is good, he's still asleep now, another half hour and that's 12 hours sleep he'll have had.

Apart from a cracking huddle on the morning, I think that was our day, I had to pick him up whilst his car was MOT'd so I nipped to Aldi for a few bits, but that was it, nothing else.  Oh I finished my jigsaw, sad that ones done I really enjoyed it, I want more of that make 'buffalo games' but to be honest I just want more jigsaws, they're so expensive to buy new, I've got a few left to do that I've bought second hand or been gifted.

Today will be pretty quiet I think, we were going to go get Aryn a coat, his outgrown the one he has already, he's probably only worn it a handful of times, even he said, buy one that's a size too big for me this time ;)

I'm cooking a beef dinner, last joint from the freezer that we had on offer from Taylors butchers before Christmas, it's a huge 5lb joint fills my airfryer, I'm cooking it very slowly on dehydrate, it'll take over 6 hours but will be worth it.  Any leftovers I could dice and make an amazing spag bol with it.  Not sure about breakfast yet, we shall see, not had eggs all week so maybe I will today.

Here's to staying on track, taking care of us and having a good day.

Mwah, luv u

Love me xx
