Not a bad Christmas gain.

Wednesday 4th January 2023
Remember you're important too.

Well I stepped on the official scales and I'd only gained 3lb, I'll take that!  We had a great day in huddles, everyone was happy with their gains, we even had some losses.

NOW for the tough part of the plan, getting my act together and getting back on track because there is still lots of temptation in this house.

I plan to use it all within my calorie allowance, so my app is set to lose 1/2lb a week at the moment so with that in mind, I get a healthy allowance, but it's not a target that I have to hit, it's telling me what I need to stay below, stay below = lose weight.

Yesterday I managed to stay below by 285 calories, which I'm pleased about because I did have wine and himself bought out the cheese and biscuits and I had a couple of those.  My meals yesterday was a leftover roast beef toastie with best butter and mustard, that cost me 509 calories.

I then went through the freezer and cupboards to see what we have to eat, so I could plan a few meals.  Now I've made a tuna pasta bake believe it or not so I thought to use up a couple those Dolmio stir in pasta sauces that were past their best before dates, I used the ZENB pasta which has extra fibre and protein.  Well obviously I didn't follow a recipe and I was hungry and getting lazy, so when I drained the pasta I through the sauce in and some boursin cheese and stirred it all till it melted then just dished it up.  It wasn't until they were walking out the kitchen I spotted the tuna on the side, I hadn't put it in the pan so I just called them back and plopped it on their plates. It looked like this;

and they emptied the plates so it tasted alright.  I wasn't a bake it was pasta pile and it worked a treat and used up some of the tuna that's been in that cupboard for over a year.

It's Aryn's first day back, up at 7, we all managed to sleep till 7 today, well I got up 15 minutes earlier so had first dabs on the shower.

I'm gonna make a beef stew today just need some carrots, I nipped to Farm Foods yesterday for a few things to help make meals, onion rings for Aryn, frozen veggies and skimmed milk for me.

I enjoyed eating properly again, getting back to normal, a routine, here's to losing that Christmas gain followed by a few more.

Have a great day

Mwah, luv ya

Love me
