Words are powerful

27th September 2018
You’ve got to nourish to flourish

It’s okay…
To make mistakes
To have bad days
To be less than perfect
To do what’s best for you
To be yourself
BeYOUtiful.

Just thought I’d start by reminding you that.

Sometimes we forget that life is more than one big to do list, I spent yesterday working my way through my ‘to do’ list, changing and washing bedding, cleaning the kitchen, doing paperwork and so on.  I’m glad I don’t do that every day, some days I just leave it all, grab my crochet hook and chill in front of the tele with a pile of washing up in the sink, it ain’t going nowhere, I ignore it till I run out of mugs for moms tea.

There is no norm, let’s all own who we are, forget all the rules, if you like it – wear it. If you feel like you’ve lost your umph, decide today to start living, not surviving, believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable.

If you need to simply survive a little longer, that’s okay too.  Be who you want to be, not who you think you’re supposed to be. Know that you can change as often or as little as you want do. I embrace all that I am, some days I’m good, some days not so good, some days I feel a little crazy but as long as you own who you are, you’ll survive another day.

Today I’m going to stop trying to run on an empty tank – are you?
Today I’m going to stop overthinking things and just do – are you?
Today I’m going to stop waiting for the perfect moment – the perfect moment is now – are you?

Today I’m going to accept just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s impossible, I can do it.  How about you?

Yesterday I made toad in the hole, it wasn’t my best effect, does that mean I’m not a good cook?  Hell no it doesn’t, it means I made on dodgy meal, I then made the most delicious golden chicken from the Flex book and that proved I am a decent cook.  See we are all a work in progress, it’s not always about the destination, and it’s about enjoying the journey.  Having the courage to live life the way you want to, not the way society dictates.  Knowing it’s okay to change your mind, remembering that no one else can convince you you’re good enough – only you can do that!

Just think about if, before Alice got Wonderland, she had a fall, stop second guessing yourself BeYOUtiful and start believing in yourself, the key to success is to start before you’re ready.  Every day is a new opportunity to change your life.

Believe in yourself and where you’re going, let your past guide you, not decide you.

This blog has been bought to you by me with help from quotes taken from Pinterest.  I’ll end with another words are powerful but actions are critical!  We need to believe the words we read/write, we need to do the things we say we’re going to if we want to get the results we desire (that line’s mine not Pinterests!

YOU are entirely up to YOU

I’m going to have a great day – are you?

Toast & butter, mmm

26th September 2018
Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, but what you do consistently.

Well I’m late today because I had a little lie in, then Alfie wanted walking, then my PC wouldn’t play and shut me out, so I went and made my breakfast, which was epic, proper toast and butter, 11SP of mmm, I’m happy to eat lighter for the rest of the day now after that, it was lush.  Oh yeah and I got myself a mention on Radio 2 this morning, just before 7.15am!  Yep I do have the best job in the world.

Yesterday’s meetings were great, a couple of cooking demo’s from the new cookbook, loving even more now, members enjoyed the meal too.  I also loved that they got why we’d changed from Weight Watchers to WW, it’s more than just a name change and they get that, see not just the best job, but the best members too.

I’m making toad in the hole from new cookbook today, promised my helpers their tea and have sausages that need cooking today.  I also have chicken that needs cooking so I’m thinking either sweet and sour chicken or chicken in honey and mustard – jar sauce this time, I’m not Wonder Woman!

The suns shining through my office window, it’s a glorious day, I need to get my day started, so much to do but at least I have the energy to do it, sleeping better again thankfully.  I’m sure Karen’s (from the Chi Rooms) holistic magic has something to do with it.

Well it appears our change from Weight Watchers to WW has got some attention in the press, noticed this in mom’s paper this morning,

I find it sad that anyone is so opinionated that they don’t bother to look before one sentence made by a CEO!  My members understand that it is about more than just weight, thankfully, I don’t actually care what the papers think, I only care about me and mine, after all your vibe attracts your tribe and my tribe is awesome, as this little video of just a handful of them shows.  I won’t be trying to explain myself or my beliefs any time soon to someone like Sarah Vine from the Daily Mail.

On that note, I’m off to do my washing up – boo!  Then some office work, then cooking, ain’t we all got exciting lives.

Here’s to a very great day BeYOUtiful, living life the normal way…

Prouder than ever to be a WWer!

25th September 2018
The smallest step in the right direction can turn out to be the biggest step of your life.

Short and sweet this morning as I’ve got a busy morning before I even leave for work, cooking demo in my meetings all week so extra prep to do before leaving the house.

Well if you’re one of my members or a Weight Watcher member you’ll hopefully have seen the news, we’re now WW, Wellness that Works.  Wellness is a journey and there are more elements to that than diet, I’m proud to be part of such an incredible movement.  If you haven’t seen your email, or any of the news, check out some of the links, watch the videos

Our mission is to inspire healthy habits for real life—for everyone. We’ll always be the global leader in weight loss. Now we welcome anyone who wants to be healthier: eat better, move more, develop a positive mindset… or all of the above! So we’re moving from Weight Watchers to WW, to reflect that we’re becoming the world’s partner in wellness. And we’ll be launching exciting tools, rewards and experiences to bring that promise to life. Head here to learn more: https://www.weightwatchers.com/uk/about-WW

I’m so excited about everything that is WW, if you were in my meetings last week we talked about mindfulness and I mentioned the app Headspace, well watch this space because next on the horizon is a partnership with Headspace to create custom mindfulness content that our members can tap into from the WW app – anytime, anywhere.  How fantastic is that!

Then there’s WellnessWins™, our one-of-a-kind rewards program that recognizes and inspires members at every step of their wellness journey. Members earn “Wins” for their healthy habits, then redeem them for exclusive products and experiences. Delivered to their door. For free.  I can’t wait, maybe this will motivate me to get my app out and use it!

WW have been working at making wellness available to all with their WW Good campaign all summer, https://www.weightwatchers.com/uk/article/weight-watchers-launches-ww-good I think it’s time to get our food bank going in the meetings again, so please have a mooch through your cupboards and bring me anything you know will be of use, including sanitary products and bathroom essentials – everyone needs a loo roll ;) #WWGood.

Yep it’s pay day today but I’m more excited about the fact my title has changed, I’m now a Wellness Coach, WW is somewhere I’m proud to work, the pay at the end of the month really is a bonus for having the best job in the world.

Right now to go get ready for the day ahead, looking forward to a week of cooking from the new Healthy Kitchen cookbook, Comfort, says it all don’t it.

Have a very, great day BeYOUtiful, smile lots.
