Busy, busy, busy

27th September 2017
If you want it – work for it – it’s that simple!

Short and sweet today, I’ve got loads to do and I’m on a roll so want to get back to it.   It was a very busy but good day yesterday, busy meetings, lots of success, lots of new members and lots of giggles – does it get any better from a Weight Watcher point of view.  Yeah it does, I stayed on track too, bonus.

Here’s my meals;

10sp, giant eggy crumpet with fried egg, spinach, onions, tomatoes and a slice of WW cheese.

Fast food in 5 mins! Cod roe, chips & veg, 8sp

Lazy chicken, cheese & onion sarnie, 1sp for the Weight Watcher cheese, 6sp total.

I totally enjoyed everything I ate yesterday, I even had enough points for a packet of WW black pepper snacks at the meeting.

Right, I told ya I was busy and I want to get back to it, here’s to a great day, show me your food pics folks, use the hashtag #bevsww #mywwjourney, tag me too, let’s share our love of food with the nation, show them losing weight is far from boring!

Tidying up my act!

26th September 2017
I can’t think of any better representation of BeYOUtiful than someone who is unafraid to be themselves.
Well how about this, I’d just been on Pinterest looking for slow cooker recipes then I went to save my word document and it asked me if I wanted to replace the document 26th September 2016, I’d accidently typed 2016 in today’s blog rather than 2017, so I said no obviously but then went to look at what was happening this day last year and low and behold I’d posted this slow cooker recipe, which saves me continuing my search because it does sound delicious, I’ll be doing this at some point I reckon.

Slow Cooker Hunters Chicken
Serves 4, (9sp per portion with cheese topping)

4 chicken breasts (6sp)
8 slices of streaky bacon (15sp) (2 chicken per breast)
88g Cheese (for topping) 22g of Cathedral city mature lighter - per person is 2sp each

To make BBQ sauces
5 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (4sp)
3 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (2sp)
1 tsp mustard powder
250g passata
2 cloves garlic crushed
3 tbsp sweetener

Instructions

Wrap chicken breasts in bacon, make bbq sauce in a bowl, pour a little of the sauce in the bottom of slow cooker.  Add chicken, pour over rest of sauce, and then cook on low or 6-8 hours.  Add cheese 1 hour before end of cooking.

Yesterday was a good day, my house is now clean and tidy (well other than my office that is – I’ll get there), I had an angel come help me – truly grateful, all my laundry has been done and it feels really good sitting down in a living room with clean windows you can see through and no building dust to write in on any surfaces!  No to just get my kitchen finished off so I can get my stuff in the cupboards and get sorted and organised in there too.

Even my ironing has been done thanks to a very generous offer off Angie, she only took my shirts home, I couldn’t believe how quick she did them either, I’m beginning to think maybe I need a new, decent iron because mines not very good at all.

Foodwise my breakfast was immense;
Check that bad boy out, it was so delicious and filling I did eat again till about five and I made my 10 Smart Point tea in under 5 minutes, chicken, chips, peas and gravy, all microwaved apart from the gravy which used the kettle.  I do love those McCains microwave chips, perfectly portioned.

No to start my week of meetings, I would say start my working week but that never ends, I worked yesterday, there’s always paperwork or phone calls to have, I had a lovely conversation with a potential new coach on the phone too, I love chatting to people who are as passionate about Weight Watchers as I am, especially when they realise it’s not just about the numbers, it’s about getting your happy back, yeah it was a lovely chat.

Here’s to another day on track BeYOUtiful, we’re making the rest of this month, the best of this month.

No one can do it for you!

25th September 2017

Success is a series of small wins.

Well here’s to a cracking good week, I’ve had a lovely sleep in my fresh clean sheets and I’m refreshed and ready for it.  I managed to clean my bedroom up yesterday, even turned my mattress, now to tackle the rest of the house!

Kitchens all plastered, another step closer to completion, it actually looks like a kitchen now, just need some plugs fitting, cupboard doors putting on, I can’t wait to get stuff back out of the shed and put them in cupboards and drawers, I nearly broke my leg trying to find a corkscrew last night!

By the time the chap doing the kitchen had gone, I wasn’t in the mood to cook so I ended up having a bag of coleslaw mix with some cheese mixed in, topped with cooked chicken.  It did the job, I was more interested in the delicious bottle of wine I’d been treated too, and it was a very good bottle I have to say.

Yeah I need all my gadgets back in my kitchen, I need to get my cooking on, I really miss it, I’m going to make eggy crumpet this morning, got the giant crumpets, they’re on offer in Asda, got some spring onions and Weight Watchers grated cheese, mmm yeah that sounds good, I might even have egg on egg and cook a fried egg to top the crumpet, oh ma’an I’m hungry for that now, as soon as I’ve finished this blog I’m off to make it.  I was going to have it yesterday but hadn’t done it by the time the plasterer arrived so had a bit of toast instead.  I think I’ve got a couple of bacon medallions left too, I’ll throw them on and cherry tomatoes, sounding like a No Count kind of day that, salmon and broccoli for dinner, what shall I have it with, whole wheat spaghetti because I actually know where that is!

Today’s mostly about the cleaning though, I’ve even got back up coming to help me, yep that’s how daunting it feels, I think I heard rain, hoping it stops as I have lots of washing to do and I need to clean my front windows, we’ve took our net down and agreed we’re not going to put it back up, mom likes being able to see everyone walking past and I think it lightens the room loads.

I’ve got ironing that needs doing too but that might have to wait till I’m feeling really enthusiastic, I’m gonna do my office work instead but first food.  Right I’m off because I can’t stop thinking about crumpets, nom nom.

Here’s to making Monday matter, no one else can be successful for us, we've got to do it ourselves – you with me?
