Doing things differently!

Monday 6th September 2021
A change is as good as a rest.

Good morning (just!) yeah I've changed my Monday up this morning, we're allowed to do things differently, it's gets boring being predictable!  Anyway I had another late night, followed by late morning, I had a lie in - check me out!  Apparently you can lie in bed without being asleep and just relax.   Alfie's just got back from the groomers looking very dapper and I'm now plonked in the garden, although I need to walk him and do my half hour exercise but I have all day to get that done, I don't need to get it all done at 5am as Elle pointed out to me the other week, plus it'll keep me out the fridge, spreading things over the day.

I had a wonderful day yesterday, do our zoom catch up, then drove to the chase for a walk with Alfie, he managed an hour and a couple of miles, which to say it was heading towards 20 degrees by the time we got back to the car just before noon, so we drove to Ironbridge for a mooch round a few shops and a bit of dinner at the Malthouse, dog friendly, we sat outside, I'm assuming you can take them inside though because it says dog friendly, I'm not sure, but it was undercover so wouldn't have mattered if it was raining.  I had fish, chips and mushy peas, left some of the fish,
I never enjoy fish in batter as much as want to, this time it was the fish that didn't taste as good as stuff I have from the freezer, not sure if it was because it was haddock not cod, but it was good, the mushy peas were mega and I never eat mushy peas!

Alfie was mostly golden, sat good in the car and his pushchair, only went a little mental when I went in the co-op without him, leaving him in his pushchair outside lol, it's not like I left him on his own - deep sigh!

Back home, we decided to enjoy the rest of the sunshine and planned to play with the weber bbq later, I wanted to cook a joint of beef on it, I was truly impressed with the outcome, we had it with leftover rice from our takeaway Saturday night.  Alfie has just enjoyed a bit and I'm thinking a sarnie or maybe a cold plate with potato salad, I'll see.

Alfie might be a neurotic little dog, making it difficult for me to go certain places but yesterday proved I can still go out and have a great day, taking him with me, let's not forget he's had a hell of a few years with mom, it wasn't just me and my sis.

How many calories have I consumed, earned, burned this weekend?  I have no idea and I don't give a stuff, I had a great time, the first of many to come.  I enjoyed what I had, I didn't over indulge, I'm gonna eat healthy today and do my 30 mins cardio to get my healthy on.

So here's to a great 'what's left of the' day, looking forward to the huddles this week, going to enjoy the sunshine sitting in the garden for a while yet, the housework can wait, it's gonna rain later in the week apparently, I'll do it then!

Mwah, luv ya

Love me xx
