Mangiare per vivere e non vivere per mangiare - Italian proverb

Translation: Eat to live and not live to eat.

I relaxed so much this weekend that I feel like I’m trying to get over the effects of a sedative this morning, I’m not with it at all.  But I have to get with it because I have a lot to catch up on. 

Rome was amazing, as was the food and the company, we had the best weekend and I did exactly what I went to do, relaxed like the Italians do, our evening meal on Saturday night lasted between 4 and 5 hours, now that’s how to eat in my opinion, no rushing, just relaxing and savouring everything that’s put in front of you.   Yes the weekend was a huge success and one I would most definitely want to repeat, especially as we only covered about a square mile so didn’t see hardly anything, there are too many cafes along the way!

As my brain really isn’t working today, I’ll steal someone else’s words which I read earlier and thought were worth sharing;

That sometimes when I'm angry, I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others. Sometimes, you have to learn
to forgive yourself.

That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.

That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but, we are responsible for who we become.

That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
