What a wonderful busy day it was :)

Wednesday 11th August 2021
It's not enough to start, you have to keep on going.

We have a brilliant day yesterday, lots of new members some we knew already but others we didn't know until yesterday and what great meetings, so much noise in the room and so much laughter during the chat, mixing fun with information is always the best way to learn and being together in a room catching up is what people have missed so much over the last 18 months.  Let's just say Elle won't be getting a fourth job as a bingo caller any time soon 😂

Food wise, breakfast was scrambled egg on toast with a cheese slice, Alfie ate half my egg!

Dinner was a winner winner chicken dinner, Alfie also helped with the chicken, I also had a bowl of leftovers warmed up for my tea, the rest of the chicken has been put in tubs with gravy to go in the freezer.

Thankfully all the cheap chickens have gone now so I can eat something else :), I was going to have roe yesterday before I remembered the chicken, not fancying it today though, I fancy fish in batter with some of the leftover mash and cabbage, that's one meal sorted out.

I'm going to have yogurt for breakfast because I have 2 tubs need using by the 15th!  I didn't realise I had one when I bought the other I'm guessing, I have a tin of mandarin oranges I could have some on for breakfast.

Loving filling out my Happy Owls journal, the 3 good things each day is always a great thing to do, focus on the good stuff and don't take any of it for granted!  One of our members had filled her journal in yesterday, 12 weeks = 21.5lb weight loss! Brilliant.  I had a little gain, half pound taking my total weight loss to 12.5lb but I'm okay with that, I've had two good days, under 2,000 calories yesterday, I know that still seems really high but like I said, I'm in no rush, 3,500 calories in a pound, so 500 calories a day is that over a week, but if I do 250 calories less a day, it's 1/2lb a week and I can live with that because it's hardly noticeable.   Or maybe if I burn 250 calories more a day, yesterday I managed to get 14 hours with 250 steps in them, that's the first time I've done that, all those  steps help the calorie count.

Those little goals are just as impressive as big ones!  I'm not risking my back going and my knee is already knackered so that doesn't want to be jumping around.

If you like a snack, these are good for 59 calories, they're the multipack ones.

You know what I'm loving about our huddles, hearing what the new members are saying at the scales, it's always been our mission that our members design their own diets and become their own experts.  Yesterday I heard different members say how they have realised there is no such thing as FREE FOOD, that the word SYNS messes with your head and that they often felt left out of the group because they weren't the ones doing well or they weren't in the 'click'.  I'm so glad we don't do clicks, that we have time for everyone whether they're flying or struggling and we're giving our members the knowledge they need so they can decide how and what to eat!  Oh and watching new friendships form and old friendships rekindle is just the best, as Elle commented last night on my post, it's great to drive home with a smile on your face after every huddle.

I'm starting today with a big grin on my face just thinking about yesterday and looking forward to doing it all again this morning at Wimborne Road.  I even got to finish my book yesterday afternoon in-between huddles., will start another today I think.

Here's to a very, great day, doing things your own way xx

Mwah, luv ya

Love me xx
