Creating that calorie deficit!

Saturday 14th August 2021
Don't give up on the person you're becoming.

 Active August was what I wanted to do and yesterday I definitely did, I put YouTube on my tele and logged in then typed in 'easy exercise' and this one popped up.
Well what can I say!  I've not sweat that much in a very long time, but at the same time I wasn't worrying about hurting my back / joints or my knee again, I can't jump off the floor without hurting my knee so this was perfect.  I also loved he didn't talk until the end, so I could listen to my own music in the background.  I'll definitely do this one again as it's the only one I've done so far that I enjoyed, ah I lie, I didn't mind the 4 minute arm one either those two combined might help to get my body back in some sort of shape!

I had to jump in the shower straight away, I was that sweaty lol, I then walked Alfie, he didn't want to go very far so as I walked him back up the path, I decided to tackle some of the front garden and weed in-between the slabs.

Before & After

I need to do the borders but I knew if I carried on, I'd end up hurting my back so I stopped, might have another go later on when I get back from the huddle though, if it's not too hot or raining, mmm just looked forecast rain for a change!  I am going to try and do that workout again though, my muscles are a bit sore but that's okay because I know it's not permanent like when I hurt my joints!

Food wise, it was 11 before I realised I hadn't eaten, so I treated myself to cheese on toast which I've fancied for weeks, it was only 288 calories too, I used 2 slices of 400g warburtons wholemeal, 30g Sainsbury's extra mature cheese and had the other granny smith apple I had.  Can't believe I enjoyed those apples, I bet if I buy more they won't be as good, but I will give it a try next time I shop which unless I just pop in the garage won't be this month, eating out the freezer remember.

Speaking of the freezer, that's where I went for my other meals, I had this;

324 calories for the shepherds pie, I wouldn't buy it again, it was edible but not delicious.

Now this plate of tasty cost me 836 calories, as nice as garlic bread is, it isn't worth 632 calories, I'd rather have something like an M&S ultra thin wood fired pizza for 420 calories.  It's out the freezer now though, so not planning on replacing it.

I created that calorie deficit I'm aiming for and that's all that matters right now.  I love the 3 good things on our happy owls journal as it's making me think about and acknowledge those good things throughout the day so that I can fill the journal in.  Yesterday as I started the front garden I saw a huge dragonfly, it didn't stay around long enough for a photo but it was glorious.  Having a cuddle on the settee with Alfie was another and the fact he actually let me exercise without trying to join in like he has always done in the past, so that might be a breakthrough right there!  Seeing my bestie was another, even if it was only a flying visit, it's always good to see V.

Here's to another good day, not sure what I'm eating today, it'll be freezer food of some sort, V did drop me some baby potatoes and cabbage so I might have that toad in the hole with them, mmm maybe, we shall see.  I have a massive craving for chicken wings after the meetings this week, I like those Iceland tgi ones but bbq or Chinese wings of any kind would hit the mark, the calories though, wow.  Stop it Bev, you're not going to the shops!

Looking forward to the huddle this morning as always, see some of you in a bit.

Mwah, luv ya

Love me xx
