Good morning Gorgeous!

16th September 2013
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Eleanor Roosevelt

YOU are the most BeYOUtiful, amazing creature on this planet and there is no one else quite like you!  You are perfectly unique, remarkable and gorgeous just like everyone else. Xx
Did you just read that and think, “I KNOW”, or did you think “WATEVA”, your response says a lot about your self esteem, and you know losing weight isn’t the answer to feeling great about yourself, you don’t have to wait because you’re already a one off incredible individual, if you don’t believe me ask someone who loves you, I bet they agree.
What is it with Self Esteem issues, what does it even mean!
Apparently the word ‘esteem’ comes from a Latin word that means “to estimate”, so self-esteem is how you estimate or regard yourself.  It’s the opinions you have over the type of person you are.  Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at it I suppose, self esteem isn’t fixed or static, your beliefs about yourself can change, so if you’re not feeling great about yourself at the moment you can do something about it.
Do you like yourself?  Do you think you deserve happiness and love?  Are you a good kind person?
If you struggled with the YES word there, your self esteem might need a little work. Xx
So start by realising how phenomenal you are, not only are your fingerprints and DNA different (unless you’re a twin) but how your mind thinks is totally your own too, of the 7 billion people in the world, no one else is exactly like you – WOW!
Do you ever feel you’re just not good enough?  Don’t we all at times, it’s realising that no one is brilliant at everything, we all have our strengths and it’s important to focus on your positives.   First of all ask let’s work out what’s going on in our heads.  Identify the negatives, you can’t change them if you don’t understand them.
What do you feel are your weaknesses?  What negative things do you think other people think about you? If you could sum yourself up, what word would you use – I am……?  Do certain negative thoughts recur on a regular basis?
Now question those thoughts – are they true, do other people really think that way about you and do you need to care what they think, someone once said to me ‘what other people think of you is none of your business’ and they were right.  Are your weaknesses really an issue, do you not agree everyone has both strengths and weaknesses, wouldn’t you be better focusing on your strengths?  The word you chose is it a positive one?  If not change it right now for a positive one that you know deep down is true, if you can’t do that, ask someone who knows and loves you to do it for you.  And those recurring negative thoughts, every time they pop their head up – challenge them, know them back down with a positive thought about yourself.
Get yourself a nice notepad and write a list of things you like and admire about yourself, at least 50! You can do it if you think long enough, take your time, even if it takes months, keep adding to it, things such as your characteristics , things about the way you look, things you do, e.g.
-                      I’m  patient
-                      I’m friendly
-                      I have a great smile
-                      I have long legs
-                      I’m tidy
-                      I’m generous
Trust me you’re awesome and to help you realise it too, stop comparing yourself to others, stop putting yourself down.  Start getting into the habit of thinking and saying positive things about yourself to yourself.  Next time someone pays you a compliment – accept it with a smile and say thank you.  Spend more time with positive, supportive people who will help build your self esteem, if you really need more help read self-help books or websites to change your beliefs.  Write that list of 50 things and acknowledge your positive qualities and things that your good at.  Be more assertive – don’t allow people to disrespect you!
Today take notice and see you are BeYOUtiful.
